I think the first soccer game was a success! Even though Scott didn't kick the ball and even ran away from it at one point he did great for never having been to a practice, never meeting the coaches and being swarmed by 20+ kids on the field. He was definitely overwhelmed but after the game he was talking about how much he liked it. If anyone asked about the game he told them about being knocked down and his shoe coming off. He says he is learning how to play from his coaches which is true. He would listen to them and do what they said which is much more than I can say about the goalie who had to be pulled off the net by a coach since he was climbing to the top of the goal! Tomorrow is practice and I think things will be less overwhelming for him after tomorrow.
Before the game--he's a bit shy and I keep forgetting that he has never experienced anything like this before.
Coach got him to join the group.
He started off on defense. The sun was in his eyes and fingers in the mouth (since he had no paci). :o)
