Animal Kingdom

So we are on to Disney park day 3: Animal Kingdom.

We saw some animals,

 rode a train,

rode some rides (this one several times),

Can you spot Eric?  I'll give you a clue.  He's wearing a green shirt.

Now can you see him?

Meet the Characters

We met the whole gang and then some.  Instead of boring you with ALL the photos I asked the kids which 3 were their favorites.  They both said Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck (also known as Ducky) and Chip and Dale.  I know Sydney also loved meeting all the princesses, especially Sleeping Beauty.

In addition I asked them what their most favorite part of the trip was...Scott said driving the race cars which he drove at least 4 times and Sydney said the fireworks.

Disney at Night

The Disney castle is very pretty at night.  We stayed late one night in Magic Kingdom to see the parade and fireworks.  Eric made the comment that as parade time approaches the happiest place on earth is not so happy anymore.  Quite true.  There was a lot of battling for parade watching spots.

Night time toys.

Hula hoops were provided for enertainment for the kids while waiting for the parade.

And finally it's parade time!

Fireworks!

It was actually good that they passed out during the fireworks because it was a LONG time before we made it back to the hotel!

Epcot

The first Disney park we visited was Epcot.

The excitement was high as we waited at the hotel for the bus that first morning.

Two years ago...

Now we have 2 kiddos popping their heads out!

Disney World or Bust

We are back from out magical vacation at Disney World.  I have LOTS of pictures to weed through and share :o)

Day 1 = a lot of driving.
We stopped for lunch at the same picnic area as 2 years ago.

Then it was on to Pensacola for some beach time and zzzz's.

Scott took care of directing the waves.  He made sure they didn't go to far...

Or far enough to wash over Sydney's sand castle.

The water and sand were so unlike Galveston.  Pure white beach and blue-green water!

Party girl

Sydney's 3rd birthday party was this Saturday.  The theme: doughnuts, circles, glitter, pink or something like that.   I think it was a success!
The birthday girl was happy :o)

Of course I had my trusty side kick following me around the house as I took pictures before the party.  I didn't have the heart to crop her out of the photo.

Since the party wasn't until 4pm there was a bit of pre-party fun.
Sydney is trying out the sidewalk chalk paint.

A little catch...

silliness...

and a visit from Pam and Jason.

Then the kids arrived, food was served...

games were played...

(they are making "mini-doughnut" bird feeders)

(glitter play dough)

songs sung...

and doughnut "cake" was had.

Then it was time to bust open the pinata!

Thank you thank you thank you to our guests.
