Do you own a funnel?

If you answered yes to the previous question then perhaps you use it for pouring objects into containers with small openings.
How often does that really happen? Is your funnel just taking up wasted space in your cupboard. Have no fear...
I would like to take a moment and open your eyes to other useful functions of a funnel.

Have you tried doubling up funnels for twice the pour!

Use it as a horn. As you can see it can be quite a hit!

It can serve as helpful eye gear.

Despite the opening on either end, it functions as a beverage container.

Play nice and be sure to share those funnels with friends!

No hat for your next party? Look no further!

Wow! Is that functional or what!?

Don't be shy...you can use 2 at once.

At last...intimidate that pesky fly with your own fly eyes!

Don't worry if you don't have a funnel. Now's the time to buy!

Perhaps you have been on the fence in the past--funnel or no funnel? I hope this new information will help sway you in the right direction.

Our funnel experts are always open to new ideas so don't be afraid to send in your comments and personal uses for your funnel(s)!

Nana's Visit

There was lots to do when Nana came for a visit...

Lots of outside time. They are watching Scott do slip-n-slide.

Japanese robe wearing and dragon fighting.

The beach! This is our new Galveston restaurant. The food is fine but the seating arrangements are even better: booths by the window where the kids can watch cars and the beach!

Toothpick eating is the new rave at our house (for Sydney). Although not the safest method, it is one of the most effective for getting meat into our little picky eater.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!
It was a short time with dad this morning. Eric left today for Washington for work but they enjoyed breakfast and some playtime before we left for the airport.

A kiss for daddy...

What are we playing? Cars of course!

Even mommy got a picture :o)

Girl Time

Scott and Eric went off to a baseball game last night while Sydney and I spent some time together. We hit up the grocery store where Sydney chose some yogurt to buy. I think this is the first time she's asked to get something at a store. Amazingly she ate it at home!

Yes, she selected her yogurt eating utensil :o)

a rainy day craft

We had a stormy afternoon so to distract Scott from the thunder we did a bit of painting.

The inside got a coating of paint as well.

The finished product!
Scott's and Sydney's

A picture of Scott

Scott finally discovered that he could draw circles and drew his first self portrait the other day. Can you see a head, eyes, nose, mouth, arms, a leg and foot? At that point his attention span was gone and he was about to scribble over it so I tore it off the page for safe keeping.

A boy, his sword and the battle of the dragon

He's brave, he's bold, he's prince Scott! Off he goes, rock to rock, across the lava to knock the dragon off his mountain.

Oh no! The brave prince has fallen! Can he get up?

Yes! He will make one final attempt...

Oh, brave prince...you were so close. It looks like the dragon will live to see one more day.

But wait, princess Sydney says to get up and fight! A new dragon has taken over the mountain!

To be continued...

Glue!

Sydney loves to glue!

We ran out of squares so I took the glue away. Oh the tragedy!

Finally she took some interest in her picture, "Oooo!"

I gave in and gave her the glue back. She is so happy...

I'm thinking she's saying, "What's up with this? The glue is not coming out?!"

(Mommy is secretly laughing because she closed the glue bottle before giving it back :o) )

"Give me a break mom! This does not work." And gluing was done for the day.
