From caterpillar...
to butterfly...
we watched them change.
Some of us kept a closer eye on them than others. I made the mistake of leaving it out one night on the dining room table. It so happened that that was the night they began to come out of their chrysalis and I can only imagine the fun jack had with them since the cage was found the next morning clear across the room. Luckily no one was hurt.
What are the odds...
They hatch so quickly so we usually miss the butterflies emerging but today I happened to check on the last chrysalis right as the last butterfly started coming out AND had time to run and get my camera AND the picture is actually a great picture!
This is our last butterfly coming out of its chrysalis.
We released them later this afternoon and the cycle continues.
