full house

It was a full house for Christmas--lots of family so lots of chances for family photos.

Disputes were handled in a calm manner.

Lupe's for dinner.  Only in Texas can you enjoy a margarita on the patio of a Mexican restaurant.

Chuck-E-Cheese with Uncle Jon, Aunt Jennifer and Nana.

Hopefully this is the last post of 2011 and I'll see you next year!

Christmas Continued

After breakfast Christmas present opening continued.

Scott is attempting to transform one of his many transformers.  Soon it was passed off to an adult.

Oh boy they make them more complicated these days...

Did Santa come?

Yup, he was here.
Were Scott and Sydney good this year?
I'd say so!

He found his name...

What could it be under the fancy wrapping paper (sheets).

bikes!

It was a cold and rainy day but we still had to try out the new bikes.

Santa made a last minute addition to his present list Christmas Eve.  Apparently Sydney had been talking about a baby carriage, one she saw in a book, all month so since she was such a good girl he decided to give it to her.

Breakfast was prepared by Jennifer and Jon.  Yummy yummy pancakes with real Vermont maple syrup, eggs and sausage.  That was a treat not having to make breakfast!

Christmas Eve

We made some reindeer food Christmas Eve to make sure the reindeer would find our house.
Glitter to sparkle in the moonlight so the reindeer would find our lawn, oats for them to eat and some sprinkles as an extra treat.

Cookies for Santa, carrots for the reindeer.
I think those reindeer got the better deal!

birthday zoo trip

Eric got home early on my birthday so we took the kids to the zoo.  It was a bit drizzly at times but no one was there so an excellent afternoon to visit.

a visit with Santa

All aboard!
We went back to the same place this year to visit Santa.  That's 3 years in a row.

While waiting to see Santa we...
colored pictures for Santa

...waited...

...waited and pondered the choice--Go see Santa or not.

There goes one and even she is a bit unsure this year.

What??  I'm shocked!  Two children visiting Santa this year!
(Last year Scott chose to watch from a distance.)

The official Santa photo.

Finally the stress of the big moment is gone and it's time to mail pictures (and Sydney's wish list written at home) to Santa.

Same time, same place next year Santa?  Only time will tell.
