At the zoo

I took a day off of work to go with Sydney and all the Pre-K to the zoo for their field trip.
I walked around with Sydney and these 2 little guys.

We ate lunch at the park and headed back to school.
Beautiful day and glad to have spent it with my girl!

Happy 7th Scott!

Scott is 7.  Wow.

We did his party a little different this year.  Him and 4 boys went to see the Lego Movie and then spent the night.  It was our first sleep over and really only 2 boys stayed for that.  It was a success.

Thank goodness he only wanted a "rectangle yellow cake with chocolate frosting and some Skylanders on top."  I asked are you sure you want just cake in this pan?  He said yes.  That was the best news I heard all month.

Frustration...

My assistant frosted the cupcakes for school.

100th day

Everyone did a little something special for the 100th day of school.

I was cutting material for first grade to make a 100 day cape and Sydney thought she would make a skirt out of the material.  Let me clarify.  It's not material but a roll of plastic table cloth.  So...she counts out 100 jewels, it dries and we pick it up and they all start to fall off.  Totally didn't think that one through.  Elmer's glue does not work on plastic table cloth.

Round 2: She re-counted out 100 jewels and we glued them with super duper powerful glue onto an old skirt.  She also sported a pair of fake glasses with 100 jewels.

As for the first grade teachers...
They couldn't be reached that day to comment.  The only replacements the school could find were a couple of old ladies who claimed to be 100.

Snow Day

 Do you see it?

Look very very very very close and you might see some frozen precipitation.
This foreign material delayed school for 2 hours.

Cousin Jake's Baptism

We made a quick trip to Dallas and Fort Worth in January for Jake's (Bryan and Katy's boy) baptism.

Eric was asked to be his godfather.

Houston Sites

The Orange Show

I can't remember what this was called but it was a giant waterfall in the middle of Houston buildings.
